It is hooked up to the backend port of carb which calls out for the PCV valve, the other ports are the upper passenger side vacuum advance, and a I ended up getting that Edelbrock carb to air cleaner assembly spacer (like the one Damon mentioned) and that solved my clearance problem with the air cleaner assembly.
